Primrose Lodge Blue and Greenway project seeks to deliver improvement works to support the improvement in the ecological function and conservation status of Clitheroe’s principle watercourse, Mearley Brook, as well as to increase its accessibility to the public, such that there are increases in the quantity and type of ecosystem service provision and public access to green space, leading to increased value in Mearley Brook, which has the potential to become a significant Natural Capital asset. The project is part funded by the European Structural Infrastructure Fund. Although this project is below the thresholds for a full procurement procedure under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 – RRT is still under and obligation to ensure compliance with EU principles of transparency, equality and non-discrimination, as such RRT is conducting a formal open tender process in which all bidders will be treated equally, with no discrimination and through a transparent process.

This contract opportunity specifically relates to the footpath works.
