Everyone knows trees are great for the planet, but did you know that they’re great for people too?
Lancashire Woodland Connect is a campaign that will strengthen the bond between people, trees, and nature. Thanks to this project existing woodlands in Lancashire will be joined up and new woodlands will be created. Overall, in the next decade, the campaign will double the area of woodland in Lancashire.
These trees will reduce flooding, improve air quality, and remove 100,000 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere.
With the help of our supporters, volunteers, and organisations including Lune Rivers Trust and Wyre Rivers Trust, we will plant over 500,000 trees. To pay for it all we need to raise £500,000 per year. The funding will come from public and private sector partners, grants, and the general public.
You can be a part of the campaign and help make your local community greener and cleaner by donating just £15.00 to plant a tree. You will get map of your tree when it is planted, as well as annual photo updates of the woodland your tree is part of.
Your donation will support and enable us to deliver the Lancashire Woodland Connect campaign to plant 500,000 trees across Lancashire.
