Since 1998, our supporters have been helping us raise the money required to conserve and improve the River Ribble, and all the rivers that flow into it, for wildlife and people.
This has enabled our growing team of dedicated staff to improve over 375 miles of rivers in Lancashire and North Yorkshire, using their wide range of specialisms, expertise, and vast knowledge.
As a charity, all this work is made possible thanks to grants, donations, and funding from supporters. Ribble Rivers Trust are also lucky enough to have received the help of people within the catchment who can go help a little more. These individuals are those who are able to donate a higher amount to the Trust each year, often in the thousands.
By becoming a super supporter, you can help us to carry out the activities that are at the core of our organisation, including project research and development, wildlife surveys, volunteer and staff training, and site maintenance.
However, with larger donations it is also possible to allocate the funding in a more specific way. Perhaps you have a particular project or cause that you are passionate about; from conserving and restoring habitats, to helping farmers take steps transition to greener businesses, to inspiring and supporting children from our catchment’s diverse backgrounds and communities.
Your support also means we have a regular, reliable funding source. This helps us to carry out a wider range of work, and to plan ahead, ensuring we can keep protecting your rivers now, and in the future.
