The view from the Tawd Wetland Photogaphy Stand

Rivers Trust, in partnership with the Environment Agency and West Lancashire Borough Council, have created  a new treatment and amenity wetland at Tawd Valley. The wetland was conceived as a way to help cleanse surface water drainage of pollutants before it enters the River Tawd. This Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) will also attenuate storm water and help reduce flood risk downstream. The new wetland provides a mini-haven for wildlife and people.

To monitor the development of this wetland, we have installed the Tawd Wetland Photography Stand on site. By scanning the QR code you can upload your photo’s to our online gallery. This allows us to see how the wetland has changed over time. This online gallery is visible to all and can be uploaded to by anyone. All photo’s are checked and approved by us before uploading
